Fastfood giant Jollibee Foods Corp. just opened the first ever store of its flagship band, Jollibee, in Guam as part of its aggressive expansion overseas.
Located near Micronesia Mall in Dededo, the Guam store further boosts Jollibee’s presence in the US and bolsters its bid to be among the top 5 restaurant companies globally.
The Guam outlet — JFC”s 38th in the US — seats 205 people.
The group aims to grow to 150 locations in the US and 100 in Canada in the next five years. Its Jollibee branches in the US are spread out in Florida, California, Hawaii, Texas and New York.
JFC has earmarked P17.2 billion for expansion this year, nearly double the P9.6 billion spent in 2018. Bulk of this year’s capital budget will go to the construction of new stores and refurbishment of existing ones as well as for investments in manufacturing facilities.
