Two ports even tripled their collections in a day’s work.

The Bureau of Customs reached a fresh high this November as it reported strong growth in revenue collections, as shipments and duty payments poured for two consecutive Fridays.

In a statement, the bureau said collections hit P3.045 billion on Nov. 3 and P3.839 billion on Nov. 10, marking new all-time highs in the history of the agency. These went beyond the P2.5 billion target for daily collections.

The Ports of Batangas and Davao drove the surge in revenues on Nov. 10, with the average collections amounting to more than triple their daily target. The Port of Batangas raked in P1.94 billion, while the Port of Davao brought in P252.44 million.

The Bataan port reported P189.2 million in duties, while the Port of Cagayan de Oro brought in P85.67 million.

It seems that change has definitely come here!
