MANILA, Philippines ? Government tax expenditures dropped to a 10-year low due to the improved financial performance of government-owned and -controlled corporations (GOCCs).
Data from the Bureau of the Treasury showed a total P13.71 billion was spent by the National Government for taxes charged against its agencies and offices in 2015. This was down 47.02 percent from the previous year and was the lowest recorded since 2005.
