Bilyonaryo Manuel B. Villar is putting up his own holding company to compete with other Bilyonaryos including Henry Sy, Lucio Tan, George Ty, and John Gokongwei.

The planned flagship company will house all Villar?s businesses and will help unlock the value from other assets and at the same time generate lots of cash from operations.

The Villar group is into real estate, retail, education, healthcare, and water utility.

The move to create a holding company, Villar said, however will depend on market conditions.

Villar, who was included in Forbes? annual list of the world’s billionaires, is one the few business tycoons in the country who does not have a listed holding firm.

Sy has SM Investments Corp., Tan owns LT Group Inc. while Ty has GT Capital and Gokongwei owns JG Summit Holdings Inc.
