PHILIPPINE Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) said its corporate arm inked a deal with Akamai Technologies, Inc., a US-based service provider of content delivery network, to provide clients with a ?more secure? Internet connection.
?PLDT Alpha Enterprise has recently expanded its service portfolio to include innovative solutions that will enable enterprises to provide an enhanced and more secure Web experience to their customers,? the parent firm said in a statement yesterday.
As Akamai?s local channel partner, PLDT Alpha Enterprise will offer the US firm?s solutions for delivering, optimizing, and securing online content and business applications.
